This is probably one of my favorite
tracks (meaning one of the best songs ever made.
word). Something just happened and the song actually
became good.
It's really hard to write about
an intro. It introduces the theme of the album and
does so with various samples. I don't really feel
like breaking down where I got the samples (actually
I do but I don't want to draw attention to the uncleared
samples, not like it matters though, right? Whatever.)
Anyway, the title of this album is "the rye goalie"
which is a play on J.D. Salinger's "catcher in the
rye". The themes expressed in the introduction song
are carried throughout the entire album. Themes
such as: the unwillingness to grow up, the unwillingness
to allow others to grow up, the feeling of fate
and predestined (determined) existence, curiosity
about death, the tormented mind, hatred of life,
hatred of a meaningless job, squander, squalor,
good vs evil, etc. etc.
